A battlefield exclusive arrived with unusually good graphics.

THE CLAIM
Clips aired by Indian television outlets showed Pakistani air attacks in Afghanistan's Panjshir Valley.
Summary of the documented claim, not a verbatim quotation.False visual attribution: the clips came from Arma 3.
Back on planet Earth.
Alt News compared footage carried by Republic TV and TV9 Bharatvarsh with videos from the military simulation game Arma 3. It identified the matching sequences and documented their use in September 2021 coverage. It also reported that Republic later removed its broadcast from its social accounts.
The narrow conclusion matters: these particular visuals do not document a real air attack. Identifying game footage cannot by itself settle every claim about military involvement in the wider conflict. The failure was presenting a simulation as evidence of the event being discussed.
The graphics card was working. The source check needed an upgrade.
