New moon mission. Four-year-old outrage.
The clip travelled through time faster than the spacecraft travelled through space.

THE CLAIM
A viral BBC discussion questioning India's space spending was a response to Chandrayaan-3's 2023 landing.
Summary of the documented claim, not a verbatim quotation.Misleading context: the clip was from 2019.
Back on planet Earth.
Alt News located an upload from July 2019 and noted the Chandrayaan-2 wording visible in the bulletin. The BBC's press team also said the clip was old. The discussion was recirculated during Chandrayaan-3's successful landing in August 2023, and several Indian outlets treated it as a reaction to that event.
The underlying video was not fabricated. Its reassigned date and subject produced the misleading impression. Disagreeing with a broadcaster's question is one thing; moving that question to a different mission four years later is another. Check the on-screen mission name before launching the rebuttal.
The lunar landing was live. The outrage was a repeat telecast.
