The Times of India reported the viral story and Aamir Khan's public clarification on 4 May 2020. He said he was not the person putting money into wheat bags. The report did not establish whether someone else had carried out the alleged distribution.
That leaves a precise conclusion: attaching Khan's name to the story was unsupported and contradicted by his denial. It does not prove that no anonymous donation could have happened anywhere. Even generous, uplifting stories require accurate attribution. A celebrity's reputation cannot stand in for a source, and a touching plot is not improved by inventing its lead character.
The screenplay was heartwarming. The casting was unconfirmed.
